TNM has refurbished Soche Hill Secondary School in Blantyre to the tune of K3 million to help improve the school’s learning environment.
The refurbishments targeted the school’s hall, library, kitchen and classroom blocks.
Speaking during the handover of the project, TNM’s Head of Blantyre Region, David Nyirenda, said as a responsible corporate citizen, TNM remains committed to government efforts to improve education standards in the country
“As Malawian company, TNM always thinks of making sure that we are relevant to people and our assistance are designed to support the community,” said Nyirenda.
Nyirenda said the support was also in line with TNM’s continued support towards the education sector as it believes education is a backbone of country’s economic growth.
Head Teacher for the school, Agness Mussa, hailed TNM for the project saying it has created good atmosphere for the students.
