The Rotary Club of Blantyre on Tuesday inducted National Bank of Malawi Corporate Affairs Manager, Annie Magola, as its new president.
Magola takes over the mantle from Omega Mulwafu who has been at the helm of the charity for the past 12 months.
Magola promised to work hard to uplift activities of Rotary Club of Blantyre during her tenure.
“Let me thank all Rotarians for the trust they have shown in me by making me the president of the club. I promise that I will do my best to take the club to another level,” Magola said.
She also appealed to the group’s members to start preparations for the next district 9210 meeting slated for Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe next year.
Other committee members include Peter Nkhata, Mordecai Msiska, Luc Deschamps, Chris Chirwa, Doreen Chanje, Omega Mulwafu, Philip Madinga and Lorraine Phiri.
During the meeting, the Rotarians also highlighted some of the achievements recorded in the year ended June 30, 2016.
