Standard Bank employees have painted 10 classrooms in Lilongwe and Blantyre under an initiative dubbed ‘47 minutes CSR’ to commemorate 47 years of doing business in Malawi.
Speaking at Lilongwe Girls Primary School, the bank’s Economist and Head of Risk, Kondwani Mlilima, who led the employees said the exercise is a continuation of Standard Bank’s commitment to promote quality education in Malawi.
“To celebrate our 47 years in Malawi, employees undertook a 47 minute painting of classrooms in Blantyre and Lilongwe under the “Happy Classrooms” project by Bongo. We are proud of our progress in the 47 years, but we must never stop moving forward, and as a bank we are building the next generation of bankers by investing in the education sector,” he said.
