Malawi Women’s National Football Team captain, Chisomo Kazisonga, has completed his switch from NOSV Neulenghach reserve team to FC Artela Porta in the Austrian Second Bundesliga.
“I signed a one-year contract. The only difference is that I have joined a team that was promoted last year. It is a good team and they have given me jersey 28. I am happy,” she said in an interview from Austria.
She has joined without strings attached as her one-year contract with Neulenghach ends this month.
Kazisonga is combining a football career with studies at Vienna University where she is pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in sports science.
Kazisonga and Sweden-based Tabitha Chawinga are Malawi’s women’s football Europe-based players.
Malawi’s other foreign-based women’s footballers are Loveness Nyakamera and Chrissy Kasiya at South Africa’s Kanatal Ladies while Linda Chilewe and Eliza Chaphang’omba play for Zimbabwe’s Auckland Queens.
