By Richard Chirombo:
Steeped in biblical knowledge and used to preaching the gospel, Apostle Enesia Chitheka continues to find time to travel back to what she likes: music.
This is what she did this month, when she found ways to sneak her music interests into her evangelistic work. The product is the 12-track DVD album Wakale.
The album is scheduled for launch on July 30, which will feature Faith Mussa,
It is a special product, according to Chitheka, “because it was recorded live, on set.
This DVD live recording has taken a new approach in Malawi’s gospel music circles and people should expect a touch from the hand of the Lord “when they listen to this live recording.
“Gospel Music in Malawi will surely be transformed when this live recording drops and I am sure this live recording will go places,” she said.
This is her second album, in terms of recording as a solo artist.
“As always, I expect people to support in large numbers as they have always done. I am glad that I have taken a different direction by recording it live. We are talking of a DVD, remember,” she said.
Maybe there is a mutual relationship between the pulpit and the musical stage.
