South African artist Kwesta is expected to perform in the country next month at the 30th anniversary of Team Entertainers.
Team Entertainers Director, Tonderai Banda, who took over the running of the company from his father Jai Banda, popularly known as Mr Entertainer, confirmed the development yesterday.
“Team Entertainers is celebrating 30 years of the company’s existence. It has not been an easy road; so, we thought of celebrating all these years with the fans,” Tonderai said.
He said the event would be held at Peak Gardens in Lilongwe.
“Kwesta is an artist who is trending. Kwesta is one of the well-known artists now and has worked with artists such as Cassper Nyovest. We gave our fans a chance to choose between Kwesta and Jah Prazah and many opted for Kwesta,” Tonderai said.
Kwesta, real name Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi, is a rapper and song writer who was born on August 11 1988.
The artist is signed to his own Independent and media company known as Rap Lyf with co-founder Kid X.
His third studio album DaKAR II was released on 26 February 26 2016.
Team Entertainers’ 30th anniversary celebration will be held on July 26 2019.
