Last year, ahead of the festive season, Faith Mussa came up with a free concert held at St Michael and All Angels in Blantyre.
It was an early Christmas gift for the people.
This year as people look ahead to the festive season, the artist is out with another concert but not free.
Dubbed One Night Celebration, the concert, the first since he returned from his Scandinavian tour that took him to Denmark and Norway, will be held at Victoria Hotel in Blantyre Saturday.
“Last year, it was special and, as such, the concert was free. This year, it’s also special but people have to pay a little something to have that one-night celebration. It is something people should look forward to because it will be exciting,” Faith said.
The singer, who has been vibrant again this year flying Malawi’s flag at a number of international festivals, launched his second album Mdidi in August in Lilongwe.
He said this would also be a platform for offering Mdidi album to residents of Blantyre.
“I want to have time to bless my fans with everything they missed. By the way, I haven’t performed in Blantyre since I started seriously making these international performances. This is my first,” Faith said.
He added: “It feels like coming back home. Blantyre is the city that launched my solo career, you loved me and I am thankful.”
His manager Samuel Chiwaka said Faith has always been dedicated to his shows and that this is a must-not-miss concert.
“There is just so much from him to give to the people. This will be another experience as he will also show what he has been giving to the international platforms,” Chiwaka said.
