The Chief Resident Magistrate Court in Zomba has committed to the High Court nine other suspects in connection with the killing of a 22-year-old McDonald Masambuka.
Earlier this month, the same court committed 12 suspects to the High Court. They include a medic, police officer and Catholic priest.
Spokesperson in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Pilirani Masanjala, confirmed the development Wednesday.
Masanjala said in Zomba that this brings the total number of suspects to 21.
“We are expecting that, in the next two weeks, the suspects will enter plea at the High Court in Zomba where they will be answering different charges which sum up to seven cases,” he said.
