NYASA Big Bullets controversial midfielder, Fischer Kondowe, has returned to the People’s Team after sorting out a contractual dispute with club officials.
Kondowe had tabled a letter terminating his contract with Bullets after getting frustrated with the teams’ reported failure to pay his K3 million signing-on fee.
The veteran midfielder had tendered a letter terminating his contract on August 29, claiming that Bullets breached a contractual agreement after failing to pay him the contractual fee on time.
Bullets General Secretary, Albert Chigoga, said Kondowe has been welcomed back because he had apologised.
“We met and he apologised. He has confessed that he did not handle the issue with maturity. Of course we were not happy with what he did because being an experienced player, he should have exhausted all channels first. But we are pleased to have him back,” he said.
Kondowe confirmed resolving the matter with club officials.
“We discussed the issue at length and I am happy because they have accepted to pay me once the cash flow improves at the club,” he said.
Earlier on Friday, Kondowe said he had asked for termination of his contract because he did not want to continue fighting with the club’s executive committee, saying he hoped to continue playing for Bullets.
In 2013, Kondowe also quit Bullets for a week and started training with archrivals, Be Forward Wanderers, only to make a u-turn later.
