A Collen Nkhulambe’s double and John Dambuleni’s own-goal brought a sigh of relief to Nyasa Big Bullets as they thrashed Civil Sporting Club 3-0 to claim their first TNM Super League maximum points for this season at Kalulu Stadium on Sunday.

Bullets dominated the game from the first whistle as Coach, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, introduced Dalitso Sailesi, Mike Mkwate, Kondwani Kumwenda, Fischer Kondowe and George Nyirenda in his starting line-up.

Yamikani Fodya, Pilirani Zonda, Bernard Chimaimba and Chimango Kayira, who have lately been featured in the first-eleven squad started from the bench.

Nkhulambe scored the opener in the 36th minute after he received a good cross from Mkwate to beat Victor Banda in Civo’s goal.

A mistake by Dambuleni while clearing the ball on the goal-line landed him in trouble as the ball went to the opposite side, beating his own goalkeeper in the 49th minute.

Kabichi eventually created a good chance for Nkhulambe to score again in the 55th minute before he was substituted due to an injury. Dave Banda stepped in for Nkhulambe whereas Kondowe paved way for Chimaimba as Kayira came in for Kabichi.

Civo introduced Innocent Tanganyika, Mude Jeffrey and Ferguson Nthondo to replace Ratious Banda, Calvin Thotho and Chikondi Chirwa, respectively, but the new arrivals could not change the game.

In other games played yesterday, Red Lions defeated hosts Chitipa United 1-0, Azam Tigers won 4-0 against Dwangwa United at Chitowe Ground as Blue Eagles eased past Masters Security FC 2-0. Mzuni lead the log table with eight points from four games.
