Simplex Nthala dumps Masters FC

Seasoned goalkeeper, Simplex Nthala, has dumped newly promoted TNM Super League side, Masters Security FC.

Nthala, who joined Masters in February as a free agent, was yet to sign a contract with the 2016 Chipiku Central Region Football Association Premier Division champions.

The Daily Times has established that Nthala has left Lilongwe for Blantyre amid reports that he might rejoin Be Forward Wanderers.

It is reportedly that Nthala is bitter with Masters’ officials for failing to pay his signing-on fees.

Masters’ General Secretary, Zachariah Nyirenda, and Nthala, were reluctant to comment on the development, saying they were still discussing the issue.

“He was unavailable during recent friendly games, but I don’t want to say much on whether we will have [sign] him or not,” Nyirenda said.

However, Nthala said he was open to other offers.

He said he was ready to play for Masters but the club was not paying him.

“I have been patient for quite a long time. I have been to the bank several times, but I ended being sent back. I will see what to do. Let me come to you once I finish my projects,” Nthala said.

Nthala downplayed his presence in Blantyre, saying he was attending to family issues.

Masters hit headlines recently after signing 22 players, including Robin Ngalande.
