Newly appointed Mafco Coach, Temwa Msuku, has disclosed that he has set his eyes on winning the TNM Super League championship and a cup this season.

Msuku, who has replaced Thomas Maloya, said he was eyeing Airtel Top 8 Cup which kicks off next month.

“It is a dream of every coach to win the league championship and cups. Sometimes things do not go according to plan but we are determined to do well next season,” he said.

Msuku, whose assistants are Gift Kadam’manja and Arnold Mbisa, left the club in 2012 after guiding it to the 2011 Presidential Cup final.

He was also in charge of Mafco when they earned Super League promotion in 2009.

Now the former Moyale Barracks Coach faces a daunting task to find replacements for top scorer Richard Mbulu who joined Costa do Sol in Mozambique.

However, the soldiers will be boosted by the return from foreign mission of Kalisto Kalinda, Martin Masoatheka, Maurice Chiumia, Jimmy Mzunga, Hassan Chapola, Alfred Nyondo and Frank Kasiyamo.

On Sunday, Mafco drew 0-0 against Silver Strikers in a pre-season friendly match at Salima Community Ground.
