“It is our hope that the level of competition shall get even higher and the games will become even more competitive and exciting in the upcoming season,” Nsapato said.

“It has not been an easy road as demonstrated by the level of competition which shall see the champion being determined on the very last day.”

He also thanked all football stakeholders, including supporters, for a relatively peaceful season.

“We have finished the 2016 season with minimal serious incidences of violence or hooliganism. This has been achieved because of the commitment of the fans, the clubs and football administrators to stamp out hooliganism,” he said

In a related development, Nsapato announced that the Predict & Win promotion, which TNM has been running during the season, also winds up tomorrow when the championship race will end.

According to Nsapato, the final Predict & Win game is the match between defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets, and Blue Eagles scheduled for Kamuzu Stadium tomorrow.
