The Tobacco Association of Malawi (Tama) has donated a photocopier worth K1 million to Hope for the Blind.

Tama President, Reuben Maigwa, said although the association faced a lot of economic challenges in the year as a result of the bad tobacco market, they felt duty-bound to assist the students.

“We know the importance of education and when we were approached by Hope for the Blind, we thought it was necessary to help,” he said.

Hope for the Blind Executive Director, Hastings Bwande, said the donation will improve education standards for special needs students.
