Nico Life Insurance Company on Friday awarded its employee, Linda Shaba, with the long service award.
Shaba has served the company for 10 years and received cash from the company for her dedication.
Over the years, Nico Life Insurance has been awarding employees who have served for a minimum of 15 to 20 years.
Speaking during the awards ceremony in Blantyre, Nico Life’s Chief Operating Officer, Gerald Chima, said the awards are meant to motivate employees.
“These awards which we conduct annually are designed to recognise service our staff gives to the company and spur productivity. These awards also enhance the sense of belonging among our employees,” he said.
Chima also said that the awards are a clear indication that Nico values its primary resource, which is its employees.
Receiving the award, Shaba attributed her success to hardwork.
“The journey has not been easy, but through hard work and team work, I have managed to sail through,” she said.
