People’s Trading Centre (PTC), a subsidiary of Press Corporation Limited (PCL), plans to open new outlets countrywide as part of its expansion plans for 2017.
PTC Chief Executive Officer, Matthews Chikankheni, made the commitment at the opening of Kudya Spar outlet in Blantyre.
According to Chikankheni, the business has remained resilient to the prevailing economic challenges and its growth path has remained positive.
Chikankheni said with continued support from customers, the company has been able to penetrate most areas of the country, despite a recent closure of some of its outlets.
Looking ahead, Chikankheni said the business intends to minimise costs incurred by customers to access products.
“We are very confident that with the shops we have opened recently, our performance is going to grow from strength to strength,” he said.
Chikankheni was optimistic that PTC will remain competitive on the market.
“I can assure you that the standards that we have set for ourselves are very high. We know this is a competitive market, but we still promise to continue offering best products,” he said.
