Harvey Nkacha scored four minutes from time to fire Kamuzu Barracks into the semifinals of the Fisd Challenge Cup after beating Nsanama FC 1-0 at Civo Stadium.
Nkacha ghosted in to head in the winner as Nsanama defenders were caught napping.
The soldiers survived a scare for the better part of the game as Nsanama displayed a solid performance.
Nsanama hit the post in the second half through Davie Banda (not related to the KB midfielder).
It was a brave performance from the Master Security league side. Nsanama enjoyed massive support from ganyu supporters.
Despite losing the match, the fans were satisfied with the performance of the lower league team.
In a post-match reaction, KB’s Coach, Billy Phambala, gave credit to Nsanama players for the players whereas Bright Amin, Coach for Nsanama, was dejected with the late goal.
