Flames’ forward, Gabadihno Mhango, continues to set ablaze South Africa’s Absa Premiers Soccer League (PSL) after he inspired Bidvest Wits to a 1-0 victory over Chippa United at Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday night.
Mhango broke the deadlock in the 54th-minute when he headed in Elias Pelembe’s cross, for his third league goal of the season.
Mhango was named man-of-the-match for a second successive league game, his fourth in the league this season and six overall.
The former Nyasa Big Bullets forward also netted against his former side, Bloemfontein Celtic, as Wits won 2-1 over the weekend.
Wits have climbed to the top with 16 points from six games, just a point above second-placed Super Sport United.
United thumped Orlando Pirates 6-1 on the same night.
Kaizer Chiefs and Limbikani Mzava’s Golden Arrows are on third and fourth places respectively, with 14 points.
Mhango has made a bright start to his career at Wits, including guiding the team to MTN8 Cup championship.
