Julius Taulo used his superiority to silence younger brother, Aubrey, during Kayiska Chavula Open Squash Tournament held at Blantyre Sports Club on Saturday.

It was a closely-contested final which saw the elder brother winning 3-2.

Former national champion, James Matewere, defeated Chisomo Taulo to finish on third position.

The tournament was sponsored by Hope Kayiska Chavula in memory of departed squash player Joseph Taulo.

The Taulo brothers are becoming a dominant family in squash with the two finalists having competed in the last tournament earlier this month.

During the AON tournament, it was Aubrey who humbled his elder brother.

President of Squash Malawi, Jimmy Kawaye, thanked Hope Chavula, for leading by example in sponsoring the tournament.

“We are going through difficult times financially and it is our hope that other former squash players will come to the aid of squash,” he said.

Chavula pledged to sponsor another tournament next year.

“Squash is my game. I am pleased to be associated with it,” he said.
