Be Forward Wanderers have received a boost ahead of their Presidential Cup semifinal match against Moyale Barracks on Saturday following the availability for selection of goalkeeper, Richard Chipuwa.
The Nomads have been experiencing goalkeeping problems this season following the departure of Chipuwa to Mozambique, where he had signed for Chingale FC, only for the transfer to fall through.
In his absence, Wanderers rotated among Bester Phiri, Nenani Juwaya and Peter Munthali for the first-choice goalkeeper role.
All the goalkeepers have not been consistent enough between the sticks.
The Nomads Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said ahead of the cup match at Mzuzu Stadium, Chipuwa has brought competition in the goalkeeping department.
“The chairman has done a lot to have him back and as a technical panel, we are happy that we will use Chipuwa in our game against Moyale. This is a must-win game. He has been our captain, he did a good job last season and I am sure his presence will give confidence to the rest of the players,” Madeira explained.
The 2015 Carlsberg Cup holders have conceded nine goals in eight TNM Super League matches
