Auditing firm, Crowe Horwath, formerly Johnson and Wilson says it has set its sight on becoming the country’s top auditing firm in the next 10 years.
Crowe Horwath Malawi Managing Partner, Shadrick Namalomba, was speaking in Blantyre on Friday during an interaction with members of the Association of Business Journalists (ABJ).
The former Johnson and Wilson recently entered into an agreement with global auditing giant Crowe Horwath which will see the company operating under the Crowe Horwath banner.
Namalomba said the partnership with Crowe Horwath presents the necessary springboard for the accelerated growth of the company.
“Ultimately, we want to move our ranking from the current top seven in Malawi to top three over a period of five years and to number one in 10 years.
“It is the aim of Crowe Horwath to be the top auditing firm in all the countries it operates in,” said Namalomba.
Crowe Horwath is a top 10 global accounting network with more than 200 independent accounting and advisory services firms across 125 countries.
It has a network of over 31,000 professionals delivering services across four primary areas namely audit, tax, advisory and risk.
Namalomba observed that Crowe Horwath is committed to delivering an impeccable quality of service and unwavering confidence to its existing and oncoming customers.
“We want to leverage on the available global technical expertise of 31000 professional staff. We want our staff to avail to world class training opportunities.
“We just want to be more efficient, faster and cheaper for the benefit of our clients, people and communities we serve,” said Namalomba.
As one way of encouraging reporters to report more on tax issues, Crowe Horwath has set aside a prize of K1 million to go to the best journalist in tax reporting.
