Silver Strikers exciting midfielders, Thuso Paipi and Levison Maganizo, have been ruled out of Saturday’s clash against Kamuzu Barracks due to injuries.
Paipi and Maganizo have been instrumental in Silver’s TNM Super League title challenge this season having scored vital goals for the Central Bankers.
Both players have resumed training, but according to assistant coach,
Lovemore Fazili, the two will not be available for selection.
Fazili said as a precaution, Paipi and Maganizo will not be rushed into action.
“We have a big squad, so we don’t want to risk them,” Fazili yesterday.
So far, Paipi has netted three league goals, including a stunner against Blue Eagles.
Maganizo has also scored two league goals.
“I am feeling better now. My debut season with Silver has been sensational. I am really enjoying my career at the moment,” Paipi said.
Silver can go top of the log table if they beat Kamuzu Barracks.
The Bankers are second on the log table with 19 points from nine games, just two points adrift of current leaders, Eagles, from the same number of games.
Despite assembling a youthful squad, Silver have defied all odds to mount a serious title challenge having won crucial matches.
After a disappointing campaign last season, Silver off-loaded 10 players before the start of this season as part of the rebuilding.
