In several scriptures, I have learned that in so many ways our Father in heaven loves us enough to rebuke and correct us each time we go wrong. But not everyone who gets a scold accepts it with a happy heart and acknowledges what it is that they are doing wrong and therefore, correct it. Instead they become defensive and feel judged because they believe that everything that they are doing is acceptable before the Lord.
I have witnessed numerous occasions when people are rebuked their best solution is to resent the message and go in the hideaway. They feel transparent and cannot stand it. They would rather defend themselves or deny the message even if it is true. Is this a normal human character or is it that at this moment of rebuke and correction the devil also is there to manipulate how the message is received so that the person never receives their redemption? However, I do understand that each and every person wants to look good to everyone they meet especially to the elders and the ministers of God at their church.
In today’s society, others prefer to see a different servant of God other than their own to avoid their personal or family weaknesses shown. This way, things can look great on the surface everywhere they go but at their chosen hidden place but not well from the outside. This is interesting because in the Hebrews 6, we are told that any form of sin puts Christ into public disgrace, which means our actions that are ungodly puts God through Christ to shame publicly. So how come as Christians we want to protect our image and yet when we sin we don’t protect our master’s image? Why do we crucify Him all over again?
What God wants is for us to be set free and to refrain from being fools and receive our salvation. To ask for the gift of discernment so that we can do great things by choosing good over evil. We must be aware that the devil is cunning and tactical in so many ways and when we sin we shame the works of God to our enemy. What examples are we giving to those who know our faith and Christian allegiance? Let us be different.
There is definitely a difference in riches and wealth that is not fuelled by the grace of God over blessings of wealth from God. The latter brings peace, joy, happiness and contentment. While the former does not give glory to God. Most often it leaves people on the edge wanting more and having restless nights due to in-contentment. They desire more and more and may take higher risks to accumulate more wealth at all costs which in turn results into greed and selfishness. They may give little to help others or even God because they get the thrill of seeing the numbers grow in their storage house of money. My question is, what is our Father thinking about us at this time? When things change, there is a storm in the family. You will find that the same people will remember the servant of God to pray for them or will try expensive hospitals to buy their free life back but if God turns His back at that time the same wealth becomes useless because what matters is the dear life, the thin line between life and death and a decision to follow Christ and renew our bow before God or perish.
It is of deep sadness to have acquired everything here on earth and on our death bed leave with none. At this point, what matters is whether we will be allowed in that narrow door. My question is which angels will claim your body when that day comes? Moses was born with money and attendants because he was the prince of Egypt but once God called upon him, he left prosperity, the fame and the money as the angel of the Lord fought for his body. We definitely know that he received his salvation because he had turned against his sin.
Are we hearing the word of God and taking it into action? Or are we the thorn in the thistles where no good seed will grow into a tree to feed others the good news? God wants us to prosper on this earth so that our name is stamped in the book of life but He also despises poverty and He wants us to prosper while we are on earth because of the blessings that He will shower upon our lives through our willingness to follow Him and our obedient heart to His will. When you receive salvation it means you have eternal prosperity! Start now and do His will and live the life of truth and without sin so that we can publicly edify that only Son who was sent to die for our sins. It is worth it!
