Gospel musician Dyghton Mbewe on Sunday put up a spirited performance impressing fans during the launch of his third album titled Mwayenera Yesu at Mzuzu Tourist Lodge.
Mbewe showed that he is making strides in gospel music when he took the audience on a journey of his music starting from his previous albums through to his latest Mwayenera Yesu.
The launch was attended by Speaker of Parliament Richard Msowoya who was the guest of honour.
During auction of the album, Msowoya bought the DVD at K100,000.
The Speaker later hailed Mbewe for his good performance on the day but also his hard working spirit in launching his third album.
He also called for love and unity this festive season and wished Malawians a prosperous New Year.
Several other renowned musicians spiced the launch and they included Grace Chinga, Assemblies of God Choir, Gloria Hope Fatchi, Griffin Kaliati, Steve Wazisomo Muliya and Donnex Muva.
Mbewe performed several songs on the day but it was his track ‘Enough is Enough’ which excited many people.
The musician also took time out during the launch to pray for the sick.
Mbewe’s previous albums are Musandipitire Yesu and Palibe Ofanana ndi Yesu.
