Standard Bank in hotel loyalty plan

Standard Bank has entered into a partnership with Sunbird Hotels in a with Hotel

Stay loyalty programme aimed at providing the bank’s customers access to discounted hospitality services at the local hotel chain and other international hotels, car hires companies and airport lounges.

Announcing the partnership in Blantyre on Wednesday, Standard Bank head of personal and business banking, Margaret Kubwalo-Chaika said the partnership gives the bank’s customers access to a wide range of discounted hospitality services offered at Sunbird and other Hotel Stay partners worldwide.

She said discounts as high as 60 percent can be enjoyed by qualifying Standard bank customers who join the programme.

Kubwalo-Chaika said Standard Bank will offer its qualifying customers the Hotel Stay package, at an additional discount of up to 50 percent on top of the normal Hotel Stay discounts based on customer’s loyalty to the bank.

“Standard Bank recognizes that regular local and international travel is one of the lifestyle requirements of its Private Banking and Executive Banking client base whether for business or leisure,” said Kubwalo-Chaika.

She said the loyalty programme offered in partnership with Hotel Stay comes to meet one of the essential requirements of the banks personal banking client base in the form of affordable and world-class hospitality experience.

In her remarks Sunbird Groups sales Manager Titania Katenga-Kaunda said the company believes in developing partnerships in its quest to make life easier for our customers.

Hotel Stay CEO Richard Somogyvari said the worldwide loyalty and marketing programme has a presence in nearly all southern African countries as well as in Europe.

Other brands on the portfolio are World Hotels, Hilton, City Lodge Hotel, Design Hotels, Great Hotels of the World, Relais and Chateaux, Village and Life, More, Pepper Club and Court Yard Hotel.
