Micium Mhone raring to go for Cosmos

Football Blue Eagles nippy winger, Micium Mhone, cannot wait to ‘fly’ when he debuts today for South Africa Absa Premiership side, Jomo Cosmos.

Mhone is confident that Jomo Sono will throw him into action when Cosmos travel to Platinum Stars for a meeting against compatriots, Robin Ngalande and Robert Ng’ambi.

“It has been hard training without getting a run in competitive games, but now all is set. The work permit is out. Bra J [Sono] has told me that I am a definite starter. I cannot wait,” said the Flames winger.

Mhone left for South Africa two months ago alongside Be Forward Wanderers striker Muhamad Sulumba, who has since been shunted back to the Lali Lubani Road.

“In training, I play as a winger and sometimes in a free-role. You just have to be ready for any position,” he said.

Mhone, who impressed in the recent Cosafa Cup in South Africa, said he is aiming for an award at the end of the season.

“I signed a two-year deal with Cosmos. I will be working hard this season and I want to finish as the top goal scorer,” Mhone told Citizen newspaper of South Africa last month. Cosmos are third from bottom with three points.
