Rising golfer Simon Moses is from today expected to take part in a two-day Zimbabwe Challenge ProAM Tournament at Wingate Park Golf Club in Harare.
Hallmark Creations has sponsored Moses’ trip to Zimbabwe after giving him K500,000.
Before departure, Moses said he was looking forward to the event.
“I appreciate the support I get from this company and it is my dream to make it to the paying ranks to honour the sponsor with a trophy,” he said Zimbabwe Professional Golfers Association press statement says the competition will be decided over 36 holes of stroke-pIay.
“In the event of a tie for first place, there would be sudden death playoff on holes to be determined by the tournament director,” the statement reads.
Hallmark Creations Managing Director, Gift Gondwe, said they were investing in the golfer because he had the potential to excel.
“Moses is part of us and we embarked on this journey together. He has immense talent. Being at Blantyre Sports Club for quite a long time, his golf prowess has been tested, having participated in tournaments in Kenya and Zimbabwe,” he said.
