Mzuni FC downplay players’ boycott

Mzuni FC players are reportedly boycotting training over outstanding dues.

The Daily Times has established that the players stopped reporting for training last week

But Mzuni FC Chairperson, Albert Harawa, insisted that all was well at the club.

“It is not all that big but there were some issues that our players needed our help on so we are discussing with them. They will resume training soon. Due to the Easter holiday, it will be difficult to resume training this week. The technical panel will advise when to resume training,” Harawa said.

Meanwhile, Mzuni Assistant Coach, Millias Pofera, is currently in Lilongwe waiting for official communication from management on the players’ return to training.

Mzuni has since signed goalkeeper Chimwemwe Kumkwawa from Nyasa Big Bullets, in a swap deal with Rabson Chiyenda.
