Nali Group of Companies may be a familiar name on the dinner table with their spices and chillies, but are surely a strange name in football circles.
The luncheon organised on Friday last week for the country’s cup kings, Be Forward Wanderers, was Nali’s first high profile romance with sports in general, and football in particular.
However, the soccer fraternity should be grinning from ear-to-ear if what one of the company’s directors, Orpa Khoromana, said at the luncheon is anything to go by.
Khoromana said the luncheon had inspired her company to look for other ways of contributing to local football development.
“We are a Malawian company and we are excited to be in a game loved and followed by most Malawians. This is just the beginning of our high profile contribution to football in our country,” she stated.
Khoromana added that her company supports grassroots football in Luchenza Municipality in Thyolo District.
