Mabvuto Lungu linked with Masters

Masters Security Services FC have opened talks with former Nyasa Big Bullets coach Mabvuto Lungu as the possible replacement for Oscar Kaunda who resigned as an Assistant Coach for the newly promoted Super League side.

Kaunda resigned last week, two months after joining from relegated Karonga United.

Masters General Secretary, Zachariah Nyirenda, could neither confirm nor deny reports that they were courting Lungu.

Nyirenda said he was waiting for a report from the technical team on the resignation of Kaunda.

“Despite the departure of Kaunda, our technical team remains strong.

Our preparations are going on well and we are so motivated with the news that TNM is back as the league’s sponsor. About Lungu, we will hear from the technical team,” he said.

Lungu, who coaches Premier Division side Chikwawa United, was reluctant to comment on Masters’ interest.

“I have just heard that Masters want my services. I will wait for the official communication from them,” Lungu said.
