Nsanama FC General Secretary, Joe Chembe, has slammed Be Forward Wanderers for claiming that the Southern Region Premier Division team’s striker Davie Banda was contracted to the Nomads.
Last week, Banda agreed a four-year contract with Nyasa Big Bullets, but Wanderers General Secretary, Mike Butao, claimed that Banda signed a five-year deal for them last year.
But Chembe dismissed Wanderers’ claims.
“Who signed the said contract? Can they substantiate their claims? I think they just have ill-motives,” Chembe said, adding that Banda merely attended trials at Wanderers last season.
“He [Banda] and Antony Namwela only went for trials at Wanderers and both of them came back but after failing to agree terms,” he said.
But Butao told MBC Radio One on Monday that they have proof of their claims, saying they will lodge a complaint to the Football Association of Malawi.
