Azam Tigers have been hit below the belt after Be Forward Wanderers signed goalkeeper, Nenani Juwaya, from the Kanjedza Township outfit.
Nomads were hunting for a goalkeeper following the departure of Richard Chipuwa to Mozambican club, CD Chingale, on a six-month loan deal.
Apparently, Juwaya has joined Wanderers as a free agent after the expiry of his contract on March 27 2016.
Juwaya’s move has left Tigers seething with rage as they were yet to come to terms with the departure of another goalkeeper, Ernest Kakhobwe, to Wanderers’ rivals, Nyasa Big Bullets, in a similar fashion.
Tigers Technical Director, Robin Alufandika, said they were disappointed with Juwaya’s departure.
“You know [that] we don’t have money to compete with those big clubs. Obviously, we are disappointed because we were counting on him,” he said.
Alufandika promised to hit back during league and cup games to prove that they can do without the two goal-minders.
Meanwhile, Wanderers vice- Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said Juwaya has added options to the team with Peter Munthali and Bester Phiri fighting for the number one jersey.
