{"id":9873,"date":"2015-10-07T09:11:32","date_gmt":"2015-10-07T09:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=9873"},"modified":"2015-10-07T09:11:32","modified_gmt":"2015-10-07T09:11:32","slug":"nbs-apologises-for-system-failure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/10\/07\/nbs-apologises-for-system-failure\/","title":{"rendered":"NBS apologises for system failure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NBS Bank has apologised for a system failure that prevented its customers from making transactions in its banking halls since Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The system failure made NBS banking halls nationwide inaccessible as some services could not be conducted.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a press briefing yesterday, NBS Bank chief executive officer Bernadette Mandoloma said the bank\u2019s core IT system was unable to process transactions, thereby inconveniencing customers who wanted to use services not available on auto-teller machines and mobile banking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur system was not able to process transactions,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She said, however, that the bank has taken all efforts to rectify the problem and that customers were still able to transact through alternate services.<\/p>\n<p>Mandoloma also assured the bank\u2019s customers that their money is 100 percent safe.<\/p>\n<p>She said the IT department at the bank is working tirelessly with hardware providers to get to the root of the problem and ensure that the problem does not occur again.<\/p>\n<p>Banking halls were expected to re-open before the close of banking on Tuesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NBS Bank has apologised for a system failure that prevented its customers from making transactions in its banking halls since Monday morning.
