{"id":9739,"date":"2015-10-05T10:13:33","date_gmt":"2015-10-05T10:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=9739"},"modified":"2015-10-05T10:13:33","modified_gmt":"2015-10-05T10:13:33","slug":"zomba-teachers-sacco-dissolved-joins-thyolo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/10\/05\/zomba-teachers-sacco-dissolved-joins-thyolo\/","title":{"rendered":"Zomba teachers Sacco dissolved, joins Thyolo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After years of continuous loss making and failure to qualify for a new operational licence, the Zomba Teachers Sacco has disbanded and has now joined the Thyolo Teachers Sacco.<\/p>\n<p>At the signing of a merger agreement in Zomba on Thursday, the two Saccos resolved to maintain the name Thyolo Teachers Sacco until an annual general meeting due next year decides otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>Thyolo Teachers Sacco president, Amos Mukhonya, said the Zomba Sacco has been taken on board and will form part of the growth of the Saccos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will be like new members,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of disbandment, the Zomba Sacco was in debts in excess of K5 million which will also be transferred to Thyolo Teachers Sacco.<\/p>\n<p>Musco business development manager, Ezikiel Thindwa \u2013 who graced the occasion, said the merger would help in the sustainability and quality of service delivery to the members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After years of continuous loss making and failure to qualify for a new operational licence, the Zomba Teachers Sacco has disbanded and has now joined the Thyolo Teachers Sacco.
