Big Bullets have suffered another setback ahead of this Sunday\u2019s Standard Bank Knock-Out Cup quarter-final against Moyale Barracks as the People\u2019s Team\u2019s number one goalkeeper, Owen Chaima, has reportedly been ruled out for six weeks due to injury.<\/p>\n
Chaima is suspected to have broken a right collar bone on Sunday after colliding with Red Lions\u2019 Innocent Bokosi at Kamuzu Stadium, leaving the Bullets with only Chimwemwe Kunkwawa as the available \u2018keeper.<\/p>\n
Another Bullets custodian, Vincent Gona, is also injured.<\/p>\n
Kunkwawa replaced Chaima in the first half as he was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, where the team\u2019s technical director, Billy Tewesa, confirmed that he would be out of action for over a month.<\/p>\n
\u201cActually, I received communication from our team doctor that Chaima will be out for six weeks. It looked like a minor injury, but after taking him to the hospital, the doctor said he has a problem with his collar bone and he has to rest for a month,\u201d Tewesa said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a big blow to the team because we will remain with only one goalkeeper. Of course, sometimes we feature goalkeepers trainer, Swadick Sanudi, but it will be hard for us as we want to beat Moyale.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bullets are also keeping fingers crossed on their top scorer, Chiukepo Msowoya, who limped off during the same game. He was substituted for Niyikiza Eimable.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Msowoya joined the Flames squad yesterday for the national team doctor Levison Mwale\u2019s assessment ahead of the October 7, 2015 trip to Tanzania for a Fifa World Cup preliminary round, first leg match.<\/p>\n
