Former Flames coach, Kinnah Phiri, has downplayed his presence at Chitowe Ground during Big Bullets\u2019 TNM Super League game against Mafco on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Kinnah, who was fired as Free State Stars coach, returned home on Friday and a day later, he witnessed the Bullets beat Mafco1-0, thereby fueling speculations that he was on the verge of being hired as the People\u2019s Team mentor.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the meantime, I just want to relax after a rigorous job in South Africa. I want to rest first then I will see what will come next,\u201d he insisted<\/p>\n
Quizzed why he went to Chitowe a day after his arrival from South Africa when his desire was to rest, Kinnah said he was scouting players for South Africa teams.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been asked to scout for players for some African teams. The game gave me an opportunity to monitor some players from both teams,\u201d he claimed while refusing to disclose the identities of the South African teams.<\/p>\n
The coach also declined to reveal the identities of targeted players, saying it was too early.<\/p>\n
Kinnah has been heavily linked with Bullets following the departure of Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, who was named assistant to Flames coach, Ernest Mtawali.<\/p>\n
The legend Kinnah, alongside Dedza Young Soccer Stars coach Jegwe Millias Pofera and former Azam Tigers trainer Franco Ndawa have been linked with the People\u2019s Team.<\/p>\n
