{"id":81148,"date":"2019-07-29T14:19:21","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T12:19:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=81148"},"modified":"2019-07-29T14:19:21","modified_gmt":"2019-07-29T12:19:21","slug":"lilongwe-giants-triumphant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/07\/29\/lilongwe-giants-triumphant\/","title":{"rendered":"Lilongwe giants triumphant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Mabvuto Kambuwe:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Silver Strikers and Civil Sporting Club registered victories in their respective TNM Super League matches yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Silver claimed a 2-1 victory over TN Stars at Kasungu Stadium whereas Civil earned a hard-fought 3-2 win over Blue Eagles at Civo Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bankers had to come from behind after Mabvuto Chipolopolo gave Stars a first half lead but Michael Tetteh and Khuda Muyaba ensured maximum points with quick goals.<\/p>\n<p>Following the win, Silver are on position six with 22 points from 12 games whereas Stars remain third with 26 points from 14 assignments.<\/p>\n<p>At Civo Stadium, Civil ensured maximum points through Fletcher Bandawe\u2019s brace and wonderful goal courtesy of Blessings Tembo.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles scored through Maxwell Salambula and Kingsley Kuwali.<\/p>\n<p>Civil Coach, Franco Ndawa, said the win had boosted his team\u2019s morale.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cIt was a very tough game but it is good to collect maximum points. I thank the players for working hard to emerge victorious,\u201d<\/em> Ndawa said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Eagles assistant Coach, Wilson Chidati, said his charges conceded silly goals.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe did not come to the party.
