HAS COME A LONG WAY\u2014Piksy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A dapting to a very dynamic music scene is something celebrated afro artist Piksy has learnt to learn\u2014and fast, for his career to remain relevant.<\/p>\n

The artist, who burst onto the scene with his colleague nthumwi Nikodemo as a duo called Atumwi, has seen his peers failing to adapt to competition and changing music tastes before disappearing on the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been through a lot in my career. I have seen those I started off my career with fading from the scene,\u201d <\/em>Piksy said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo survive on the market, I have adapted to the changing environment, tailoring my music to modern trends to suit the tastes of the current generation while not leaving behind the old generation. However, I have not abandoned my style but added some elements to make my music relevant.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

True, those who have listened to the hit called Angozo <\/em>would agree that Piksy is not going too modern and too outdated.<\/p>\n

He is finding his feet somewhere in between; thereby, preserving his style of strong lyrics and smooth voice. Piksy tells a story, ignites debate and entertains.<\/p>\n

Such has been the story since Piksy appeared on the scene with an offering titled Maso<\/em>; an album that he dedicated to personal experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaso was about celebrating how I had lived my dreams that I never imagined. The second album was Mthunzi which was about forewarning people against false prophets,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Inevitably, Piksy had to explain his next music project.<\/p>\n

But before he did, the musician had something to share with his army of followers.<\/p>\n

He is recording music video of singles collection such as Umakwana <\/em>and Angozo<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis singles collection will be out by August,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, if you are a big fan of Piksy then look forward to, his third career album titled Mtunda<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am recording songs for the album. I record my songs at several studios including mine. The next album is titled Mtunda because it reflects the road I have travelled in my career; the heights I have scaled. I am grateful that I have maintained my core of fans and earned new ones along the way,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
