This is why we are working on a DVD but, still more, we do not have enough money; hence, calling upon well-wishers and music lovers to assist us,\u201d<\/em> said one of the group\u2019s members Joseph Banda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The musical group also admitted that it could not hold its own live shows at the moment because of inadequate funds.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe would like to hold live shows frequently but we cannot afford. We would like to thank Jacaranda Cultural Centre for considering us to perform at the Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session. We long for such shows,\u201d<\/em> Banda said.<\/p>\n<p>Banda said they are also <em>working on a new album titled Chibelemuda<\/em>. <em>\u201cThis album will have 10 songs. All the songs are ready but we do not have enough money and some well-wishers have been coming out to support us. Others have contributed funds to one or two songs but we still have a long way to go,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Unlike in the past where the group used to star with four members, all of which play instruments, this time they have added a new member Physon Chilemba, who is a dancer.<\/p>\n<p>The other members of the legendary group are Konzani Chikwata, who plays the babatoni, and Fatsani Kennedy, who plays traditional drums.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the group has hailed musician Code Sangala and friends for buying them a brand new acoustic guitar.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe still perform with old instruments and Code Sangala and team saw to it that we needed a guitar and so they bought one at K175,000. Others who have the financial muscle can do the same,\u201d<\/em> Kennedy said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kasambwe also called on the government and the corporate world in the country to utilise local acts whenever they have events.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAs a group, we perform in weddings, birthday parties and any other events so we are always open to show our talent. In most cases, companies or the government have events but they do not use us.
