{"id":79371,"date":"2019-06-20T10:53:47","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T08:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=79371"},"modified":"2019-06-20T10:53:47","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T08:53:47","slug":"silver-strikers-strike-khuda-muyaba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/06\/20\/silver-strikers-strike-khuda-muyaba\/","title":{"rendered":"Silver Strikers strike Khuda Muyaba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Williams Gondwa &amp; Mabvuto Kambuwe: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_79375\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-79375\" style=\"width: 285px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/khuda-muyaba-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-79375\" src=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/khuda-muyaba-1-285x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"285\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/khuda-muyaba-1-285x300.jpg 285w, https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/khuda-muyaba-1.jpg 347w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 285px) 100vw, 285px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-79375\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">SLAPPED\u2014Khuda<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Silver Strikers have slapped their hitman Khuda Muyaba with several penalties for indiscipline.<\/p>\n<p>A fortnight ago, Muyaba <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/khuda-muyaba-in-defensive-mode\/\">castigated<\/a> national team players through social media after the Flames gave away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 then lose 4-2 on post-match penalties to Zambia at the 2019 Cosafa Cup in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/silver-strikers-counselling-khuda-muyaba-against-contract-termination\/\">Muyaba<\/a> also boycotted training at Silver, saying he wanted out of the club, accusing Coach Lovemore Fazili of influencing his exclusion from the Cosafa Cup squad in his capacity as the Flames\u2019 assistant coach.<\/p>\n<p>But last week, the striker ate a humble pie and apologised for his ill behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>However, in a press statement signed by general secretary, Lawrence Yobe, Silver says their Executive Committee met on June 14 2019 at Reserve Bank of Malawi Club House and resolved to charge the striker with four counts.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cHe has been ordered to formally write an apology letter to Football Association of Malawi [Fam] on the recorded video clip ridiculing the national team,\u201d <\/em>Yobe writes.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHe has been deducted of all emoluments due to him during the period of his abscondment and the club deduct [sic] fifty percent of the player\u2019s entitled emoluments for forthcoming four games.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The striker was charged of gross misconduct specifically owing to insubordination, abscondment and display of unsporting behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>Muyaba featured for Silver in the 1-0 victory over Masters Security FC in the Airtel Top 8 semi-final at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Silver Team Manager, Itai Nundwe, said everything was water under the bridge.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cHe is doing fine and is a changed person. Khuda is working very hard in training and is eager to play,\u201d<\/em> Nundwe said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Muyaba joined Silver on a four-year deal from Moyale Barracks FC after resigning as a soldier.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Muyaba also posted on social media that he had resigned from the Flames because he was being sidelined.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Williams Gondwa &amp; Mabvuto Kambuwe: Silver Strikers have slapped their hitman Khuda Muyaba with several penalties for indiscipline.
