But it is now up to us as coaches to name him in the starting line-up. But we are happy to have him back,\u201d<\/em> the former Civil Sporting Club assistant coach said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kamwendo said he was ready to help Wanderers win trophies.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI have been part of this club for a long time. I am happy that everything has been settled for me to return to the field of play. I am ready to help my club meet its targets,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kamwendo is a well travelled campaigner having played top class football in several countries.<\/p>\n<p>At the peak of his career, Kamwendo played for Orlando Pirates and Vasco da Gama in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>He also turned out for Danish side Nordsjaelland before signing for African giants TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n<p>One of his major achievements in the game was becoming the first foreigner to be crowned Zimbabwe\u2019s Soccer Star of the Year in 2005 while playing for Caps United.<\/p>\n<p>Kamwendo\u2019s return is expected to help the Nomads improve on their sixth position on the log table as they aim at reclaiming the league title.<\/p>\n<p>Wanderers welcomed Kaunda with a 5-0 drubbing of Dwangwa United at Kamuzu Stadium last Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Williams Gondwa Be Forward Wanderers assistant Coach, Oscar Kaunda, has said former captain Joseph Kamwendo is likely to feature in the Nomads\u2019 TNM Super League game against Kamuzu Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.
