Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs representatives are set to meet before the end of the month to discuss the player\u2019s release clause,\u201d<\/em> Soccer Trends reports.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Soccer Laduma<\/em>, another South Africa football publication, on March 27 2019 linked the former Nyasa Big Bullets forward to Chiefs.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cMhango is another Wits player that has been heavily linked with a move to Chiefs in the past months. The player will become a free agent after June 30, this year and Amakhosi could look to approach him for his services,\u201d<\/em> <em>Soccer Laduma <\/em>wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Chiefs have since embarked on a massive clear-out to pave the way for new recruits after letting go Hendrick Ekstein, Khotso Malope, Gustavo Paez, Virgil Vries and Bhongolethu Jayiya.<\/p>\n<p>If Gaba joins Chiefs, he would follow the footsteps of former Flames skipper Patrick Mabedi and Jack Chamangwana (deceased) who also played for the Soweto giants.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Mhango, who was Wits top scorer in 2017 and won several cups, went to Portugal for trials but he was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>Mhango started his career in South Africa at Bloemfontein Celtic where he was the leading scorer before earning a move to Wits via Golden Arrows on a loan spell.<\/p>\n<p>Gabadinho refused to comment on the reports, saying he was waiting for direction from his manager.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Williams Gondwa: Flames striker Gabadinho Mhango has emerged as the transfer target for South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) ailing giants Kaizer Chiefs, as he looks set to leave Bidvest Wits.
