{"id":78123,"date":"2019-05-20T01:20:04","date_gmt":"2019-05-19T23:20:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=78123"},"modified":"2019-05-20T01:20:04","modified_gmt":"2019-05-19T23:20:04","slug":"flying-bullets-annihilate-civil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/05\/20\/flying-bullets-annihilate-civil\/","title":{"rendered":"Flying Bullets annihilate Civil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Mphatso Malidadi:<\/p>\n<p>TNM Super League champions Nyasa Big Bullets were merciless in their quest to successfully defend the TNM Super League title as they thrashed Civil Sporting Club 6-0 at Kamuzu Stadium Sunday to move to second position on the table behind leaders Blue Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>Following the win, Bullets have 10 points from four games whereas Eagles lead with 11 points from six matches.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets made a promising start as rookie Hassan Kajoke headed home a Chiukepo Msowoya cross, beating Civil goalkeeper Blessings Kameza barely a minute into the game.<\/p>\n<p>Civil were hardly in the game as they struggled in all the departments.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets underlined their desire to win the match with left back-cum-midfielder, Precious Sambani, getting his debut.<\/p>\n<p>Former Civil full back Gomezgani Chirwa engineered Bullets\u2019 second goal, with Msowoya extending the lead in the 16th minute.<\/p>\n<p>Civil were forced to make an early change when Damiano Kunje hobbled off injured.<\/p>\n<p>Sambani then scored Bullets\u2019 third goal before Kajoke claimed his second, and Bullets\u2019 fourth, in the 40th minute following a counter-attack.<\/p>\n<p>In the second-half, both teams made changes with Civil introducing Muhammad Sulumba for Lucky Mdezo whereas Bullets pulled out Kajoke and Dalitso Sailesi for Patrick Phiri and Peter Banda, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Phiri scored Bullets\u2019 fifth goal while another substitute, Righteous Banda, who replaced Sambani, nailed the last goal.<\/p>\n<p>Civil Coach, Franco Ndawa, said they misfired and congratulated Bullets for the win.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cIt was simply not our day,\u201d<\/em> Ndawa said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The result means Civil returned to Lilongwe after losing two consecutive games. The Civil Servants lost 0-1 to Mighty Tigers on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets Team Manager, James Chilapondwa, said it was a well calculated and executed game plan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe need to be consistent to impress our supporters,\u201d<\/em> Chilapondwa said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In other games, Savenda Chitipa United drew 0-0 with Be Forward Wanderers at Karonga Stadium whereas Masters Security and Silver Strikers also played out a goalless draw.<\/p>\n<p>In another match, Dwangwa United drew 1-1 with Mlatho Mponela.
