The commission will provide special accreditation for such monitors and they will be the only ones authorised to be present during this exercise.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The elections will involve candidates for ward councillor seats while the rest will vie for 193 parliamentary positions and one position of president.<\/p>\n<p>The elections will attract 6.8 million voters, whereas the 2014 elections involved 7.5 million voters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Peter Kanjere: Ballot papers for the May 21 Tripartite Elections will start trickling in from Monday, Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec) Chief Elections Officer, Sam Alfandika, announced Wednesday.
