The story of an indigenous innovator William Kamkwamba was presented to the masses with a sparkle of finesse synonymous with any Hollywood film.<\/p>\n<p>The movie\u2019s growing popularity has been proved beyond reasonable doubt by the release of a tune titled \u2018The boy Who Harnessed the Microphone\u2019 done by artist Slessor of \u2018Swagg Yakabanza\u2019 fame.<\/p>\n<p>Judging by the artist\u2019s song composition, it is evident his concept was inspired by the film in mention.<\/p>\n<p>The lyrics go:<\/p>\n<p><em>The second coming of the rap messiah\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m like Khalisi\u2019s dragon all I spit is fire\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Is that Nkhotakota grade?\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I just kick it higher\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Flow iyi siyachibwana imaphwesa masaya, sick\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Chilungamo chokhachokha\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Muzipeza polemba Slessor akamathoka\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ndine galu ovuta sindimamva za choka\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Please forgive me I\u2019m a bilingual guy\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>100 percent rap game ndiyanga\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Flow, punchlines ndi ascent zones ndi zanga. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The artist, born Slessor Munthali, believes that, despite the music industry being blurred with a number of challenges, artists need to muscle up and overcome, just like William did at a time his people endured pains associated with famine.<\/p>\n<p><em>As a matter of fact\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Put me in a wrestling ring\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And see if I won\u2019t undertake the worst that you can bring\/ <\/em><\/p>\n<p>That is how Slessor continues with the song.<\/p>\n<p>It is a song produced and mastered at MOD.<\/p>\n<p>However, hip-hop being, somehow, a hot potato, some hostile reception to the song can only be anticipated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Richard Chilango Jnr: To those not in the know, not long ago, American actor and director Chiwetel Ejiofor aroused the delight of the entertainment community with the production of a Malawian motivated Hollywood motion picture The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, which made ceaseless headlines since its premiere on Netflix on March 1.
