Let people support this initiative,\u201d<\/em> Nyasa Music Festival Director, James Makunje, said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The development comes after Castel Malawi has pumped K4 million in the initiative.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe would like to thank Castel Malawi for the support. They are our official beverage sponsor,\u201d<\/em> Makunje said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Castel Malawi Senior Brands Manager (Alcoholic), Widdey Nsona, said they have come in because they want their consumers to be entertained during Easter period.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cCarlsberg is about fun and music; so, we felt this festival provides a good opportunity to emulate what the Carlsberg brand is about, hence pumping in K4 million,\u201d<\/em> Nsona said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ahead of the event, organisers held activations featuring South Africa\u2019s Zanda Zakuza.<\/p>\n<p>The entry fee for the festival is K32,000 for a three-day package for advance and K40,000 on the door while VIP is K45,000 advance and K55,000 on the door.<\/p>\n<p>The day\u2019s ticket is K15,000 advance and K20,000 at the door.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will see performances from South African acts AKA, Prince Kaybee, DJ Noxx, DJ Kaygee, Nasty C and Busiswa, among others.<\/p>\n<p>To be hosted by Blak Jak and Super DT, the festival will bring on board Malawian acts such as Faith Mussa, Malinga Mafia, Gwamba, Kell Kay, Fredokiss, Bossaro Music Group, Patience Namadingo, Nathan Tunes, DJs Reubie and Flame and Macelba.<\/p>\n<p>Faith said he was ready for the show.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sam Banda Jnr: Organisers of the inaugural Nyasa Music Festival, which starts today and ends on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, have said they expect nothing but positives from the showcase. \u201cWe are ready 100 percent and everything is in place.
