{"id":76297,"date":"2019-04-02T09:49:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T07:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=76297"},"modified":"2019-04-02T09:49:10","modified_gmt":"2019-04-02T07:49:10","slug":"crispin-moliati-dethroned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/04\/02\/crispin-moliati-dethroned\/","title":{"rendered":"Crispin Moliati dethroned"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Mabvuto Kambuwe: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Promising boxer Israel \u2018Money Machine\u2019 Kam\u2019mwamba raised his game to force Crispin \u2018Dungulinya\u2019 Moliati into retirement in a featherweight title bout at M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Having kept the belt for two years without a challenger, Moliati finally met his match in an entertaining and exciting fight.<\/p>\n<p>As a challenger, Kam\u2019mwamba lived up to his billing when he dominated the fight.<\/p>\n<p>Moliati found the going tough after sustaining an eye injury from Kammwamba\u2019s heavy punches in the third round.<\/p>\n<p>Kam\u2019mwamba showed hunger for glory as he unleashed a flurry of punches that saw Moliati struggling to keep up with the pace of the bout.<\/p>\n<p>The injured eye grew bigger as the fight went on, blocking Moliati\u2019s vision. This forced the referee to stop the contest and declare Kam\u2019mwamba winner.<\/p>\n<p>Moliati conceded defeat but claimed that he was head-butted.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cKam\u2019mwamba came hard on me and he is slowly growing into a good boxer. But he used primitive boxing styles to win. He head-butted me on the eye so that I should not continue fighting. Anyway, I am looking for a rematch after three months,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A visibly delighted Kam\u2019mwamba said he had a special plan to defeat his opponents.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cLet them come to challenge for the belt but I will safeguard it.
