{"id":75137,"date":"2019-03-04T09:22:36","date_gmt":"2019-03-04T07:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=75137"},"modified":"2019-03-04T09:22:36","modified_gmt":"2019-03-04T07:22:36","slug":"tn-stars-davie-to-twinkle-in-mozambique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/03\/04\/tn-stars-davie-to-twinkle-in-mozambique\/","title":{"rendered":"TN Stars\u2019 Davie to twinkle in Mozambique"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Mabvuto Kambuwe:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gangling striker Stain Davie has joined Mozambican side ENH from TNM Super League side TN Stars after agreeing a one-year loan deal.<\/p>\n<p>The striker wrote on his Facebook account that he was excited to face the new challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am really excited to move to Mozambique and I hope I will have a successful career,\u201d Davie said.<\/p>\n<p>He left the country on Tuesday to join his new teammates in the neighbouring country for an undisclosed fee.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Director Wisdom Chimgwede said the player has moved to Mozambique with the club\u2019s blessings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust to mention that as a young team ourselves, money is not everything but establishing relationships with clubs outside the country will be critical for development of the young players who go through our club. I hope Davie\u2019s move will act as a motivation to the young players he has left behind in Kasungu,\u201d Chimgwede said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chimgwede, the two clubs are looking for a long-term partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Football Association of Malawi Transfer Matching System Manager Casper Jangale confirmed the move, saying an international transfer certificate had been issued for Davie to ply his trade in Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>Davie was one of last season\u2019s revelations in the Super League where he scored 13 goals.<\/p>\n<p>His partnership with China Chirwa caused problems to defences in league and cup matches.<\/p>\n<p>Davie and Chirwa helped the club to finish on position nine in its maiden appearance in the top flight league.<\/p>\n<p>Davie has joined compatriot Moses Chavula at the Mozambican side.<\/p>\n<p>Mozambique\u2019s Mocambola League has several Malawian players such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/mozambique-champs-sign-john-banda\/\">John Banda<\/a>, Frank Banda, Charles Swini, Matthews Sibale, Chawangwa Kawonga, Richard Mbulu and Simplex Nthala.<\/p>\n<p>Stars survived relegation and finished with 36 points to become eligible for the Airtel Top 8 cup as Nyasa Big Bullets are suspended from taking part.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Mabvuto Kambuwe: Gangling striker Stain Davie has joined Mozambican side ENH from TNM Super League side TN Stars after agreeing a one-year loan deal.
