{"id":74741,"date":"2019-02-22T10:35:03","date_gmt":"2019-02-22T08:35:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=74741"},"modified":"2019-02-22T10:35:03","modified_gmt":"2019-02-22T08:35:03","slug":"lilongwes-turn-for-storytelling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/02\/22\/lilongwes-turn-for-storytelling\/","title":{"rendered":"Lilongwe\u2019s turn for storytelling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Sam Banda Jnr: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a successful showdown last Saturday at Jacaranda Cultural Centre (JCC) in Blantyre, the storytelling session which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/story-ink-africa-calls-for-stories\/\">Story Ink Africa<\/a> spearheads goes to Lilongwe Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The venue is Lilongwe Wildlife Centre.<\/p>\n<p>One of the founders of Story Ink Africa, Ekari Mbvundula, Thursday said they are prepared for the event.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cBlantyre was amazing on Saturday, as writers read out good stories. This is Lilongwe\u2019s turn,\u201d<\/em> Mbvundula said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Running under the theme <em>In My Feelings, <\/em>the session will be spiced up by a performance from Zathu Band.<\/p>\n<p>Writers that are set to star tomorrow include Mozesi Makwawa, Tamanda Kanjaye, Mphatso Kwambisi, Beatus Msamande, Sheila Goliati and Shivani Shetty.<\/p>\n<p>Mbvundula said they were thankful to Hivos, through the Cultural Fund Malawi, for funding their events.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThey saw how we were doing with our events and were satisfied, hence coming in to support us.
