Having coached the team before, I know that I can do it again,\u201d<\/em> said Phiri, who left Tigers in 2017 after being appointed assistant coach to the Flames\u2019 mentor Ronny van Geneudgen before being dropped.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Details of the duration of Phiri\u2019s contract were kept under wraps as the team and coach were reluctant to disclose them.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cLast time, I was given a four-year contract but I left after serving for two years. This time around, it might be a similar offer but the actual details will be known later,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Phiri was unveiled at Country Club Limbe, Blantyre, on Monday where new players are undergoing trials.<\/p>\n<p>Tigers Technical Director, Robin Alufandika, said they want Phiri to win at least a trophy and secure a top-eight finish next season.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cHe is back to his nest and free to do whatever he likes. We don\u2019t want to struggle finishing among top eight teams. We also want a trophy or two next season,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In reaction, Phiri said he has a personal target which can be achieved this season.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAs a coach, you need a personal target and, in my case, [I am talking of] a top-four finish and a trophy,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Tigers started the 2018 season strongly but struggled towards the end of the campaign due to limited resources.
